Our recommendations for your visit in our beautiful region

The Freiburg Minster - an absolute must - is the Roman Catholic church of Freiburg im Breisgau, built in Romanesque and mostly Gothic style. It was built from about 1200 to 1513.

In front of Freiburg Cathedral (with its 116-meter-high tower, the cathedral was one of the tallest buildings in the world in the Middle Ages), the city's famous landmark. T
The Muenster market takes place Mondays to Saturdays from 7.30 am to 1.30 pm. On the north side of the market, farmers sell their fruit and vegetables at 96 stalls - often in organic quality. On the southern side, the 65 dealers offer delicatessen and ceramics and woodwork. On Saturdays, the selection is the biggest: Because at the weekend there are 180 stalls on the marketplace, during the week it is "only" around the 100.
Tip: Follow the locals and indulge in a "Lange Rote" - Freiburg's legendary bratwurst. Whether onions or without, that's up to you. For the locals, however, it is always: "A Long Red with!"
Vouchers for a "Lange Rote" (traditional Friborg sausage) at the Freiburg weekly market or a glass of cold Sophie (from June to October - Monday to Saturday from 10.00 to 19.30) in the Alte Wache "Haus des Badischen Weines" at the Freiburg Münsterplatz can be purchased at the reception.
